Vintage swimwear

Recently we got a call asking about our vintage swimwear collection.  After firing off an email with some pictures of what our client was looking for, we decided to post them–after all, the workmanship and materials of these swim suits is pretty amazing.

Most of them have boning and other structural elements, and the common fabric is rayon.  Earlier suits were made of wool.  Nothing like the hearty feel of wet wool abrading your area.

These swim suits are from the 50′s – 60′s.  Enjoy!

Berman & Co. Ltd. is proud to be a sponsor of this years thriller-themed Fashion Cares event, “Fashion sCares“!

Our contribution included styling staff in the baroque costumes similar to those in the masquerade climax of Hitchcock’s 1955 thriller To Catch A Thief.  Also, we partied.

Naturally the costumes were appropriately sexified for our modern tastes :)

Our warehouse was previously the site of Brink’s security.  During the extensive reconstruction we left a few reminders of our building’s history.
